Welcome to the first newsletter of the ITUC Congress.

It includes important information on your preparation for the 4th ITUC World Congress, which will take place on 2 - 7 December 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Updates are provided on the Congress website along with the draft Congress Statement and information on how to contribute examples of your work. For more information please click on the link under each section.

Unions have been on the frontlines of many struggles since we met in Berlin in 2014.

We want to document and share with all Congress delegations the most significant victories of trade unions during the period 2014 to 2018.

The ITUC Congress website is now live.

Find all the updated information relating to the Congress online: official documents, agenda, programme and practical information. Please note that Congress is a paperless event and that all information and documentation will be made available online and accessible via participants’ electronic devices (laptop, tablet or smartphone).

The draft Congress Statement is available in the “documents” section of the website.

The Congress is structured according to four thematic plenaries and three sub-plenaries:

In addition to your most significant victory, the Congress website will have a section dedicated to examples of your work in these areas. Please submit your examples of best practice, successes and challenges, workers' stories, union ambitions, policies, research papers or campaign materials as soon as possible (before the end of October 2018 at the latest).
